Solar Energy an Emerging market in Pakistan

Pakistan is a developing country. Developing countries need a lot of effort and development to compete with highly developed countries. Pakistan, as we all know, is going through a lot of issues but the most important issue is Electricity who is not aware of the fact that most of the areas including rural and urban go through load shedding.

Many of the reasons behind may overcome if the country starts using solar thermal or photovoltaic. The solar power plants have been established in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. Initiatives are under development by many international and local private companies. The country aims to build the largest solar power park in the Cholistan desert. Pakistan’s current national power shortfall is estimated to be more than 6,000 megawatts, causing long power outages across the country.

Pakistan is the most suitable place for a solar energy system due to its climatic condition. Due to extreme conditions of power cuts, consumers are already drifting towards solar power system and one of the big reasons is high electricity bills. In Pakistan people have been started to set up a solar system on their rooftops for their homes as well as for businesses.

However, the government still needs to simplify connection rules and regulations for small scale solar power to be more widely adopted.

The conclusion is that Pakistan would soon get eradication of high electricity bills and issues of load shedding if this system will start implementing everywhere. It needs awareness programs on each level and needs high support from the government. The sun holds the future of Pakistan saying goodbye to old systems and using the natural source at its best.
